My Story

My journey of self discovery began in 2000 after I was let go from a job I thought I loved but was really exhausting and draining the life out of me. After I found myself unemployed, I stepped into Yoga Teacher Training and Acupuncture School in Toronto. Both were the start of my journey into Self and my training as a Holistic Practitioner. Over the past 25 years, I have studied a tremendous amount of  modalities from Energy Medicine to Brainspotting Therapy.  Over the years, some life experiences brought me to my knees while other helped me soar.

The life experience that bruised me the most but also catapulted my awareness and transformation was the death of the Mom. This, as some of you may know, is a life changing experience. Then, shortly after her death I experienced an unexpected medical procedure that woke me up to my own trauma. This painful event took me onto a deep dive as I realized all the car accidents I’d been in and the concussions I had suffered were called trauma. This awareness opened me to learn about nervous system dysregulation. On this path I realized I had been living in survival mode for a good part of me life. With this new understanding, I stepped on another journey of learning and healing myself. This transformational journey has brought me where I am today. Today, I feel balanced, calm and much more able to handle what life brings me. The resources that supported and helped to change me life on my road to recovery were Nervous System RESET, Expressive Arts Therapy and Brainspotting!

As a mother of 2 beautiful and courageous daughters, a wife of 25 years, it is my hope that my slips, falls and deep learning can support you on your journey of becoming a radiant, human who joyfully embraces and trusts all sides of life.

Land Acknowledgment

Guelph has served as traditional lands and a place of refuge for many peoples over time, more specifically the Attiwonderonk, and the Haudenosaunee. This land is held as the treaty lands and territory with the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation. Guelph lies directly adjacent to the Haldimand Tract and is part of a long-established traditional hunting ground for the Six Nations of the Grand River. Many First Nations, Inuit, and Métis peoples who have come from across Turtle Island call Guelph home today.
